Project Management focuses business theories and concepts to researching and analyzing, develop and prepare team based projects and professional business presentations, demonstrate critical thinking skills for analyzing legal and business cases, research and write strategic business and marketing plans and utilize mathematical skills to solve business problems.

Description

San José City College in San José, CA offers Associate’s degrees of Science in Business Management and Construction Technology. We also offer state of the art Electrician Trainee and Ironworker Apprenticeships programs. Click here for more information on course requirements.

 

  • The Associate of Science in Business Management degree program require a total of 60 units; of which, 24 units are selected from General Education areas and the remaining 36 units are selected from a business major concentration. Several levels of certificates are available in each of the three areas of concentration. Click here for more information on course requirements.
  • The Associate of Science in Construction Technology degree prepares students for entry into the construction trades, which require a technical skill and understanding of construction processes. Highlights: Program designed for immediate employment, upgrading of job skills, and potential opportunities for career The degree prepare students planning on transferring to a four-year school.Students who complete the AA Degree, which includes the 39-unit general education sequence of courses. Prerequisites and Required Assessments

There are no prerequisites for enrolling in the project management programs. Even though a high school diploma or equivalency is not required, you may find that some employers prefer to hire employees with a high school diploma or equivalency. There are also more options for financial aid at the community colleges for students who have a high school diploma or equivalency.

You must take a placement test to enroll in math and English classes for the general education requirements needed to earn an associate degree. You should meet with a counselor to determine the correct placement in these classes.
