Description

Evergreen Valley College in San José, CA offers certification of Specialization in Robotics.

  • Certificate of Specialization in Robotics introduces students to the field of robotics and its applications. It consists of three courses in a sequence that are designed to provide an understanding of the fundamentals of sensors, actuators, motors, applications using microcontrollers, and advanced training. This certificate is entirely hands-on, and students construct various types of robots. Click here for more information on course requirements.


Prerequisites and Required Assessments

There are no prerequisites for enrolling in the robotics programs. Even though a high school diploma or equivalency is not required, you may find that some employers prefer to hire employees with a high school diploma or equivalency. There are also more options for financial aid at the community colleges for students who have a high school diploma or equivalency.

You must take a placement test to enroll in math and English classes for the general education requirements needed to earn an associate degree. You should meet with a counselor to determine the correct placement in these classes.
